Bill Maps is a government transparency web site (now defunct) which allows users to track Congressional bill actions geographically on Google Maps. The web app, years in the making, uses a powerful library and innovative technology to deliver the user an interesting new way to look at federal sponsorship/voting data. The technology could easily be applied to other mapping uses. Also virally integrated with a Twitter account (@BillMaps) with thousands of followers, as well as a Facebook page.
